IDENTIFYING A WISE MAN
Proverbs 1:1-5.
Pro 1:5
"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of
understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:"
The definition for wisdom
is – “the ability and desire to make choices that honor God.”
The purpose of Proverbs is
to produce wise men and to give them instructions of wisdom and understanding. Pro
1:2 To know wisdom and
instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
1. A Wise Man
Will Always Be Increasing His Knowledge And Intellect - Pro 1:5 A
wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall
attain unto wise counsels:

A Wise Man Will Love One That Rebukes Him - Pro 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he
will love thee.
3. A Wise Man
Will Accept Instruction As Learning Input - Pro 9:9 Give instruction to a
wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in
learning.

A Wise Man Knows When To Speak - Pro 10:19 In the multitude of words there
wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

A Wise Man Listens To Counsel - Pro 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his
own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

A Wise Man’s Wisdom Will Rub Off On Others - Pro 13:20 He that walketh with
wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

A Wise Man Will Not Associate With Evil - Pro 14:16 A wise man feareth, and
departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

A Wise Man Will Obey The Law - Pro 28:7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son:
but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

A Wise Man Thinks Before He Speaks - Pro 29:11 A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
